About Me

Courtney Geurink

Hello and welcome! I started this journey of Ascent Project Management in 2021, after the birth of my son. I’m thrilled to use my skills in project management, event planning, and problem solving to support you in ascending to your goals.

I have over 15 years of experience, focused in the nonprofit field, five of those years were in a fundraising capacity. My degrees in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Meeting and Event Planning and a Professional Master of Arts in Social Innovation, have also laid a solid foundation in my skill set. I worked for seven years for a local Chamber of Commerce, planning community events and workshops ranging from art festivals and rowing regattas to farmers markets and school field trips. I then transitioned into higher education, coordinating opportunities for alumni to engage with their alma mater, support students, network with other alumni, and continue their educational opportunities.

Personally, I love to cook, trying new recipes out on my husband, Todd. Thankfully, he is a great support and will give anything a try once. We also enjoy golfing and love to travel – visiting all the National Parks is a family goal. And now that we have our son, we cannot wait to start taking him on these adventures!
